Skydio Live Streaming

How to include Skydio streams in the Air Control dashboard

Updated over a month ago

The Skydio integration opens up the ability to view live streams from Skydio drones directly on the Air Control stream dashboard. Simply copy your Cloud API token from the Skydio web dashboard into Air Control.

Generate an API Key on the Skydio Cloud website:

  1. Log into Skydio Cloud https://cloud.skydio.com/

  2. Go to Settings > API Tokens

  3. Generate a new token

    1. You can use an existing token if you have it recorded.

  4. Go to Settings > Live Streaming

    1. Ensure RTSP Streaming is Enabled.

Create the Webhook in Air Control:

  1. Log into Air Control https://air.aloft.ai/

  2. Go to Manage > Connections

  3. Add Connection > select Skydio > Skydio Live Streaming

  4. Enter Skydio token and add the connection.

Copy the Webhook URL, and head back to Skydio.

In the Skydio Cloud portal, head to Settings > Webhooks > Create Webhook > Label it "Aloft Live Streams" or anything similar, paste in the URL and save.

Then, head to Settings > Alerts > Add Alert. Name the alert whatever you'd like, "Aloft Live Streaming", for eg. Then, under "Receive notifications for the following event" select "live stream status changed". You can select individual drones, however, it's recommended to use the "Apple to entire organization" option. Then, enable the Webhook Actions at the bottom, and select the webhook you just created in the last step.

The connection is now complete.
