Skydio Live Telemetry

Display live telemetry from Skydio drones on the airspace map.

If you are interested in displaying the live telemetry from your fleet of Skydio aircraft on your team's airspace map, reach out to Support@Aloft.ai to get started.

This article details the setup once the feature is enabled on your enterprise account. Utilizing Skydio Live Telemetry requires a Skydio Cloud subscription.

Generate an API Key on the Skydio Cloud website:

  1. Log into Skydio Cloud https://cloud.skydio.com/

  2. Go to Settings > API Tokens

  3. Generate a new token

    1. You can use an existing token if you have it recorded.

  4. Go to Settings > Live Streaming

    1. Ensure Live Telemetry is Enabled.

Create the Webhook in Air Control:

  1. Log into Air Control https://air.aloft.ai/

  2. Go to Manage > Connections

  3. Add Connection > select Skydio Live Telemetry

  4. Search for the main user or account owner

  5. Enter your Skydio API Token

  6. Click Connect

  7. Copy the Webhook URL from the newly created Connection

Add Webhook to Skydio Cloud

  1. In Skydio Cloud, go to Settings > Webhooks (https://cloud.skydio.com/)

  2. Create Webhook

  3. Name it, and enter the Webhook URL copied from Air Control into the URL field:

Setup Webhook in Skydio Cloud:

  1. Back on the Skydio Cloud (https://cloud.skydio.com/)

  2. Go to Settings > Alerts

  3. Add Alert

  4. Select Live stream status changed for the Event type

  5. Select aircraft or choose the entire organization.

  6. Enable Webhook Action

  7. Select the Webook that was just created

  8. Select Add Alert to save it.

The connection is now complete.

View Skydio Live Telemetry in Air Control:

  1. Log into Air Control

  2. On the Airspace dashboard, select View Live Traffic

Broadcast Skydio Telemetry (In-app)

  1. Launch Skydio app

  2. Get connected to your Skydio drone

  3. Go to Camera settings > Streaming

  4. Select Start Live Stream

  5. Begin Flight
