There can be a few reasons for needing to close out a LAANC authorization early. Whether the flight plans changed, need to file a new LAANC at a location further away, or even after receiving FAA notice that your authorization was rescinded.
If you want to cancel a LAANC request, you can do this from both the Air Control app as well as the web dashboard.
In the Android app, tap on the Main Menu (top-left), or on iOS tap into Logs at the bottom. Then select LAANC logs.
On the web, you can go to Manage > Authorizations to see a list of your LAANC requests. https://air.aloft.ai/
On either platform, you can also tap into the area on the Airspace map so the LAANC request shows up in your advisory list. On mobile, you may need to expand the advisory list by swiping up on the drawer. Then tap "more" on the advisory showing your LAANC request, then click "additional details".
After selecting the open authorization, you'll see the option to "Cancel Request". If the start time has already passed, you can also "Close" the request early using the same process.
