Certificates and Renewals

How do I add my Part 107 info to my profile?

Updated over a week ago

Keeping track of your certificate currency is important to make sure there are no gaps in your ability to exercise Part 107. Pilots will want to track their renewal date, and make sure they complete a recurrent test before it expires or "lapses".

Having your Part 107 information filled out is required when requesting LAANC authorizations for commercial (for-profit) purposes. Side note, verifying your phone number is not required to use LAANC but doing so will provide you with text alerts, on top of the automatic emails, for LAANC status updates.

You can access your profile from the mobile app by tapping the menu in the top left (3 horizontal lines), and then tapping your name on top of the account name in the black box.

Here you can make quick edits to your profile from the mobile app. Please be aware this is a quick feature for pilots in need to update this info in the field. Editing your certificate or issue date in the app will clear out any data that has been entered from the web. Once certificates are set up on the web for management, they should be managed there and not through the mobile app.

For more advanced certificate management, check out the web dashboard. Please note, when entering your certificate info, make the title of the certificate "FAA_107" so that the system picks it up properly for reporting, LAANC, alerts, etc. We are making the platform more flexible not only for custom certifications but for international users as well.

You can add renewals to show your currency history, as well as any additional requirements that may be needed for compliance. This could be similar to the NCDOT Operator Permit required for Part 107 operations in North Carolina, or even internal training requirements defined by internal SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures).

Users can also attach additional certifications like thermography, survey, emergency-ready, and more.
