Switch App Workflow

How to manage flights if not flying in Air Control?

Updated over a week ago

There are two major components to streamlining the workflow when flying outside of Air Control.

  1. Missions / Flight Session in Air Control

  2. Importing / recording flight logs

The process can be explained simply as the Air Control "sandwich". The pilot starts their preflight process in Air Control (airspace, LAANC, missions, checklists, etc.). When ready to fly, they'll be prompted to switch to their preferred flight app. Once complete, the most important part is coming back to Air Control to close out their activity.

Some remotes may be offline during flight, and they may not sync until hours or days later. The session in Air Control will now be waiting for the flights to import. As soon as the system detects the flights that match, it will automatically connect the flight logs to rest of the activity performed in the app.
